The silent auction raised a over $6700.00 for the Florida Veterans Foundation. All veterans were recognized and given a medal by Paul Kimbel of the Florida Veterans Foundation to thank them for their service
“Quilt of Valor”
Our own Stella Kelly made a beautiful quilt which was presented to Col. Bill Roberts, USAF, Ret. who served 27 years with the US Air Force.

Quilt of Valor Recipient Col Bill Roberts, USAF, Ret.
Bill served 27 years in the U.S. Air Force. His first tour was training for nuclear war in the B-52 Bomber. His second tour was to upgrade and train in the supersonic B-1 Bomber. He flew over 2500 hours in the B-1 including combat missions over Afghanistan and served six tours the Middle East. Reflecting on his adventures in the military and flying he said, “The soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and coast guardsmen I served with were all the best this nation had to offer. Committed men and women focused on the mission to achieve national objectives to keep our country free and safe. They were the driving force in my success in the military. I credit my grandfather (WWI Vet) and father (WWII vet and former POW) with my inspiration and desire to serve. I credit my loving wife Patty with my strength to persevere in tough times and get back home after mission complete.”
